COVID-19 update status in Greece

The Organizing Committee is committed to create a meeting experience where you can safely and effectively conduct business with alignment to the recommendations of the World Health Organization as well as those of the local health authorities in Greece
The health and safety of PESTICIDES2022 attendees, faculty, partners, and staff remains the top priority for the PESTICIDES2022 Organizers.
The COVID-19 policy specified below is based on current pandemic conditions and will be adjusted according to actual conditions at the time of the event.
Before registering, please ensure you have read the following fully. By registering for in-person participation, you agree to fully comply with all COVID-19 regulations required onsite as defined by the event organiser.

CONGRESS PROTOCOL to enter the Congress Venue
Currently, PESTICIDES2022 policy requires all registered congress delegates to:
- provide valid proof of adequate vaccination (as defined by the EU Commission at the time of the event)
- OR to be fully recovered (as defined by the EU Commission at the time of the event)
- Personal barcode which they will receive upon confirmation of their registration
Furthermore, all delegates will need to provide upon entry to the congress center identification (passport or ID card)
This policy is being reviewed on a regular basis.
Please note that delegates providing only a valid negative PCR, antigen or antibody test certificate will not be granted access to the congress.
What Happens at the Event?
Conference Center “Karolos Papoulias” at the University of Ioannina adheres to all rules and regulations set out by Government authorities, to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
All services in the venue will be assisted by staff fully vaccinated.
Masks will be required for all visitors to Conference Center “Karolos Papoulias”, University of Ioannina and hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the venue.

What are we doing to keep you safe?
In addition to all standard requirements, we are setting up additional safeguards in its process and procedures to ensure the well-being of all PESTICIDES2022 participants and provide an enjoyable Congress experience in a safe atmosphere. This includes measures such as:
- Congress Secretariat and Technical Assistance will include people who are fully vaccinated
- Organizers will test all staff working for the congress for COVID-19 before they can enter and work for the congress
- Ensure staff and attendees wear masks correctly and consistently
- Long-term surface disinfection for high-touch areas
- Congress Application with all necessary information
What else can you do to stay safe?
It is important to always be aware of and maintain social distancing, wear a mask, and follow proper hygiene protocols, including frequent hand washing, sanitization and cough/sneeze etiquette.
We ask for your help in ensuring your own safety and the safety of your colleagues by following directional signage put in place in the venue and complying to the regulations and restrictions required by the venue, PESTICIDES2022, and any local public health authorities.
Finally, please be sure to isolate and advise event staff immediately should you develop any symptoms related to COVID-19.
While all measures are in place to keep you safe, your participation at the PESTICIDES2022 Conference is at your own discretion.
