Nicholas E. Korres
After the completion of his undergraduate studies in Greece, Professor Dr. Nicholas E. Korres moved to the UK and received his Masters in Crop Physiology and his Ph.D. in Weed Science at the University of Reading in Reading UK, and his postgraduate Diploma in Operational Research and Applied Statistics at the University of Salford, in Manchester UK. He has worked at various research positions in the UK, Ireland, Greece and USA. He is now an Associate Professor at the Dept. of Agriculture, University of Ioannina, Greece. His research focuses on integrated weed management, herbicide resistance, climate change and response of plants to abiotic stress. He has published four books, over hundred research articles and book chapters and numerous conference papers. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journals of Agronomy for Sustainable Development and Frontiers in Agronomy (Weeds).
